Duggan Veterinary and Improve International bring world-leading online learning to Ireland.
Duggan Veterinary | Improve International

Duggan Veterinary is delighted to be working with Improve International, providing the opportunity for Irish veterinary professionals to advance their career through online learning, and gain a globally recognised qualification from the International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS).

The partnership stems out of the two organisations’ mission to support the veterinary industry with their continued professional development (CPD), building ongoing knowledge and confidence for those working in veterinary practices – ensuring a high level of patient care.

Together, the two organisations will offer a range of online and blended (mixture of online and face to face sessions) courses covering a range of species and subjects. Practical learning will be delivered in Duggan’s new state-of-the-art wet labs in central Thurles.

Improve International

One of the world’s leading veterinary training companies, Improve International was founded in 1998 by a group of like-minded vets and has since provided continuing education to more than 40,000 veterinary surgeons and nurses across 20 countries.

Improve International will be responsible for the delivery of the online programmes, working closely with its assessment and awarding partner, ISVPS.

International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS)

ISVPS was established in 2003 to provide a consistent level of globally recognised veterinary qualifications. It has an increasing number of certificates, designed to support vets and nurses at different stages of their career who wish to gain postgraduate qualifications whilst working in practice:

  • Foundation Certificate (FCert)
  • General Practitioner Certificate (GPCert)
  • General Practitioner Advanced Certificate (GPAdvCert)
  • Nurse Certificate (NCert)

ISVPS works closely with Harper Adams University (HAU) to offer veterinary surgeons who gain selected GPCert qualifications the opportunity to go on to achieve a university-awarded Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) with HAU.
