Ortho IV: Complex Fractures

This course builds on the basic management of long bone fractures. The potential advantages associated with locking bone plates will be discussed and over the two days cadaveric procedures will give delegates the opportunity to place locking plate-rods and dual locking bone plates. The management of open and articular fractures will be discussed. Challenging complications associated with fractures such as infections, delayed/non-unions and implant failures will be reviewed with clinical cases.
