Equine Advanced Lameness Day - Seminar and Wetlab - Module 2

The use of ultrasound in assessment of conditions and techniques will be demonstrated.  Nerve blocks and joint, tendon sheath and navicular bursa injections will be demonstrated and can be practiced on the cadavers.  Surgery procedures will be demonstrated and can also be practiced in the cadavers such as DDFT tenectomy (for treatment of laminitis), periosteal elevation surgery, quittor surgery, neurectomy (palmar digital and for high suspensory), palmar annular ligament desmotomy.  Participants are encouraged to bring along photos and videos for discussion. This module is for practitioners wanting to develop their skills to a more advanced level and will be complimentary to Module 1.

The course will be an advanced full day of hands-on practicals with cadaver limbs.  There will be revision of examination techniques for the lame horse.
